GENERAL INFO ON QUEEN CITY FC U8 ACADEMY (2014/2015) BOYS & GIRLS

FRAMEWORK/CURRICULUM:

Queen City FC has open enrollment for the QCFC U8 (2014/2015) Boys & Girls Academy.  Our club philosophy for this age group is that it is purely developmental with an emphasis on skill development and learning the game (not wins and losses).  QCFC will split up into seperate teams if numbers dictate a need for multiple teams.  Based on the number of participants teams will practice COED and play on single gendered teams for games. The general team size for this age group is 5-8 players as the games are played in 4v4 with PUGG Goals on a 25x35yd field.  

Our training sessions are 60 minutes for this age group and are consistent with the four stage curriculum as laid out by the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).  We use a train and play model where our players will train and then have an opportunity to play. See below for a sample lesson plan:

SEASONS OF PLAY/COST - 2021/22:

At this age group, there are three different league seasons when a player can join; the fall, winter and the spring leagues. Our club is flexible with families who are only able to commit to one season, and inclusion in one season only does not disqualify your child from participating in another season (ex. you may play spring season even if you did not compete in the fall and vice versa).  Note - When signing on during the fall, you are considered a Queen City FC play for the entire 2021/22 playing season from August 2021-June 2022.

- Training Shirt - VT Alliance U8 Soccer League or VSL League Schedule

- Target United Cup (Essex, VT)

- Paid Coaching

 

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR LEAGUE PLAY - 2014/2015 GIRLS Play "U8": U8 (4 v 4 no goalies)

• U8 games are 20 minute halves
• U8 games use goal sizes are PUGG GOALS
• U8 players use size "4" soccer balls
• General U8 Field Size is = 35yds(L)x25yds(W)
